SIPITANG



Sipitang

Sipitang — also known as Pekan Sipitang — is a small coastal town in the Interior Division of Sabah. It serves as the capital of the Sipitang District and is the closest Sabah town to Sarawak, about 135km from Kota Kinabalu (KK). Known for its timber and emerging oil & gas industries, it’s also celebrated for eco‑tourism, cultural events, and local food.

how to go there ? 

  • SELF DRIVE

    2.5–3 hrs depending on traffic and border patrols.

  • BUS 

    Take the express bus from KK Sentral (Wawasan Plaza). Services run around 8 AM, 12 PM.
    Journey about 3 hrs.
