SERINSIM SUBSTATION

Serinsim Substation is a picturesque park managed by Sabah Parks, situated at the foothills of Nambuyukon Mountain. Visitors intending to hike in the area are required to hire a guide through Sabah Parks.

Historical sites:
The tomb of a giant named Gambaliu reputed to be 24 feet tall. The tomb of the famous Dusun warrior born in Serinsim named Sigunting who fought the British between 1894 – 1901.

HOW TO GO THERE ?

There are numerous routes to reach the Serinsim Substation.

The most direct if you are travelling from the West Coast area, route from Kota Kinabalu to Kota Marudu via Ranau. Alternatively, if you are travelling from the Eastern coast of Sabah, such as Sandakan or Lahad Datu you will also route via Ranau then to Kota Marudu.

Go to Kota Marudu town, this is 2.5 hours away from Kota Kinabalu. Then from Kota Marudu you go to Serinsim Substation. It is advisable to drive on your own to reach Serinsim due to lack of transport from Kota Marudu to Serinsim.
