- The Deer Cave in Mulu National Park stands as the world's most extensive cave passage, spanning over 2 kilometers in length and consistently maintaining a height and width of at least 90 meters. The primary chamber, partially illuminated by natural light, boasts impressive dimensions of 174 meters in width and 122 meters in height. Historically known as the area where deer sought shelter, local Penan and Berawan communities aptly named it Gua Payau or Gua Rusa (Deer Cave).
