- Your journey begins in Miri, which can be reached by direct flights from Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu, driving from Brunei, or taking a flight from Kuching. Buses also connect Miri to other parts of Sarawak.
- To reach Marudi from Miri, which is about 1.5 hours away, you have a couple of options.

Upon arriving in Marudi, renting a bicycle is one of the best ways to explore the area, allowing you to tour the town and visit longhouses.
