KELAMBU ISLAND

Kelambu Island

1

Kelambu Beach is known to be one of the best beaches in Sabah although not as famous as the other beaches. It is quite unique as it is a tombolo, which is a sand bar joining an island to the mainland. The name “Kelambu” is mosquito net when translated from the local language as the island is said to be the shape of a mosquito net.

how to go there ?

  • SELF DRIVE

It is recommended to rent a car and self drive down to Kudat then to the beach as there is no public transport going there. The Kelambu Beach is located in Kudat which is a 3 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu City.
