INOBONG
The Inobong Visitor & Research Station (Penampang District) is a substation  situated in the district of Penampang and is just about an hours drive from Kota Kinabalu, or 20 min from the Dongongon township via the old Papar road. It has a cool climate and a spectacular panoramic view of Kota Kinabalu and all of the islands overlooking the KK waterfront that can be seen from a vantange point. Visitor facilities such as chalets and and a restaurant have just been completed and will be open in the near future. Trails are available to a waterfall and a longer trail which forms parts of the salt trail. Inobong Mountain is a prominent peak located in Penampang District and is a popular destination. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts due to its scenic trails and breathtaking views

sELF DRIVE
Rent a car from Kota Kinabalu, this trip will take you 30 to 50 minutes depending on the type of vehicle as it is up hill and you can use Google maps to get to the destination.

E-HAILING
You have option to order a grab car. However, bear in mind that the grab car may or may not agree to take you there.
Embark on an unforgettable journey along the 34 km Inobong-Terian-Buayan-Kionop-Tikolod Trail, recommended over 3 days and 3 nights.

There is accommodation available. The price range varies and is dependent on the type of accommodation.
