BAKELALAN
Ba’kelalan is located approximately 3,000 feet above sea level in Limbang Sarawak. It is home to one of Sarawak indigenous tribe called Lun Bawang. Home to cool mountain air. Ba’kelalan offers a diverse experience in its culture and nature. Have a taste of the traditional mountain salt and the famous Adan Basmati Rice as you visit the wildlife and soak up the views of nature. Ba’kelalan for now is the only place to see the Dulit Frogmouth.
how to go there

- Take a four-wheel drive car from the town of Lawas, which is accessible from Kota Kinabalu using the Sipitang Express. The cost of the car rental is approximately RM800 for a one-way trip.
- Book a flight from your location to Lawas. From Kota Kinabalu, the price typically falls in the range of RM80 to RM150. Another way is from Miri, take flight to Ba’kelalan, often with a stopover in Bario.
- If you are seeking a more adventurous and somewhat pricier route, you can arrange for a private car to Bario from Miri and then transfer to another private car to reach Bakelalan.
