how to go there ?
Reaching KBFSC is an adventure in itself, typically taking 2.5 to 4 hours. Here's how:
- By Road: Start your journey from Bandar Seri Begawan, heading to Batang Duri by car, van, or bus. This scenic drive takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- By Boat: From Batang Duri, continue your journey via temuai (pre-arranged). This boat ride along the river to KBFSC takes 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on conditions.
Boat trips to KBFSC are scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
KBFSC offers two types of accommodations to suit your needs:
- RETAK Building: Four single rooms for solo travelers. Two twin-bed en-suite rooms, ideal for long-term researchers.
- LESONG Dormitory: A two-storey facility. Can accommodate up to 36 visitors, perfect for groups.
