BERAU CAVES
The caves in the Berau region of East Kalimantan are of significant archaeological interest due to the presence of some ancient human bones. Visitors need to climb through the caves to see them.

From Tarakan take a flight to Berau, nearest airport is Kalimarau Airport.
Take a boat from Tarakan to Tanjung Selor. Then drive from Tanjung Selor to Berau.
From Berau you can go to other destinations up in the division or even to Maratua Island by boat from Berau.
